Exploring Freshwater with a Homemade Boat

Using our imaginations, anything is possible! Originally inspired by WWF’s Art for Earth theme of Freshwater, try making a homemade boat out of sticks and string. We followed these easy instructions using only twigs found on a walk down the block to make ours. For an even simpler boat, check out these instructions. 

Once you’ve made your boat, you and your little one can let your imaginations take you on a journey through freshwater systems (including lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, springs, bogs and wetlands)!
